After associating one or two parents with a child or a caregiver with another client, you can assign them specific statuses for a particular appointment.

To demonstrate this, let's take the following example:

The mother usually accompanies and pays for her child's appointments, but, exceptionally, the father has to do so for the next appointment.

Here's how to view and modify the status of a relationship for a specific appointment:

  1. Identify the appointment in question, open it, and then click on the Participants tab.

  2. For each person, specify who will be going, who is present, and who is absent.

This option allows you to specify who was listed as a companion when the appointment was booked and who attended the appointment.

  3. Specify, for each person:

  • Who is the primary contact?

Please note that there can only be one primary contact per client.

The name of the primary contact will appear in brackets in the scheduled appointment window.

  • Who should receive Communications relating to this appointment?

It should be noted that the communications box will always be greyed out for the person listed as the primary contact because this person is required to receive emails about the appointment of the client they are linked to.

  • Who will be the person paying for the appointment?

This allows you to define, in the Paid by section, which name to display on the insurance receipt and invoice for the appointment in question.
